Carmarthenshire, Wales

Churches, Chapels, and Repositories

This page provides access to photographs of Carmarthenshire churches and chapels, taken by individuals, that are freely available for personal use only. Where buildings have been destroyed, left to ruin, or converted for other uses, we hope to obtain a sketch or photograph of its previous appearance. The entries are listed in placename sequence giving the Ordnance Survey grid reference where known. Clicking on the name will also display a summary of record repositories, as detailed in The Parish Registers of Wales and the Nonconformist Registers of Wales, published by the National Library of Wales. Records may be missing, for some years between those specified. Repositories are designated NLW for the National Library of Wales, PRO for the Public Record Office, or CRO for the County Record Office. Where DFHS is noted, against Monumental Inscriptions, the transcripts are available on fiche from the Dyfed Family History Society. Return to this index by clicking on the arrow.
