Evacuee from Trelech in WW2

Mr Frank Barnett, arrived in Trelech at the age of 10yrs, from London.  Stayed in Trelech and made it his home.  He has done many talks to school children  and Merched y Wawr groups

Drefach Velindre Woollen Mill

In 1900, Dre-fach Felindre area was home to 52 mills in full production. During World War one, the welsh woollen industry was employed in the war effort producing blankets and uniforms for armed forces.  The Welsh grey homespun known as Brethyn Llwyd, gave a nationalistic distinction to the new recruits of the new Welsh Army Corps.

Hedd Ladd Lewis on his Family History

Hedd Ladd Lewis

Hedd Ladd Lewis of Boncath has a keen interest in local and family history and has already pieced together large parts of his family tree. He appeared on S4C programme called Perthyn (Belonging), where Hedd Ladd Lewis had an emotional  pursuit of two soldiers in the family and ancestory who went to Patagonia.

Tom Mathias Photographic Collection

Tom Mathias was born in 1866, lived in Cilgerran, he became a photographer in his 20s and was also a farmer.  He  captured many aspects of West Wales  life on camera.
